12/28/2023 0 Comments Red bellied woodpecker![]() I couldn't find the woodpecker so I had to wander around for a while until I stumbled upon a few more out in the field. I heard the bird, but was taking pictures of a passing eagle. I too encountered an issue with this task. Perhaps, but in order for that to happen. it is only a demo, real game will be better i bet. yea like mentioned, I really want to like this game but its kinda holds its foot on the gaspedal and stops my motivation in playing it. Thank you for your feedback, ultimately, a zone in the forest where the bird will stay will be designated! It's really lovely to walk (crouch) through the woods listening to all the birds and trying to study them and take pictures of them. Originally posted by thelefthorse:First, I love the idea of the game. Other than those two issues, I think you've got a real gem here. Several times I've been tracking a bird call and had the bird in my binocular sights and then poof, it just disappears without flying away. The only other issue that seems important to address is something I attribute to the game being still in development: birds simply disappearing. The fact that I've never heard the call again suggests to me that I'm supposed to just move on, but it might be helpful to make that more clear. It's a little confusing because up to that point the tasks/errands are meant to be completed immediately-photograph the first bird, go to the tower, go to the camp, look around, etc., so I'm not sure if I need to stay in that area or begin moving about freely. Does that mean the woodpecker is more of a long-term goal, as in, you're keeping your ears open for that particular call while continuing to go roam looking/listening for other birds? Or is the red bellied woodpecker the holy grail bird that proof of will save the forest? I've played twenty minutes more twice, once crouching quietly through the woods in the general direction of the call, and once staying put at the camp listening for the bird to call again, but I haven't ever heard its call after the first time. I've tried twice now to immediately track the sound and yank up the binoculars, but I haven't had success. ![]() Is that an immediate task? As you're talking to the woman, you hear the bird's call. One thing I'm confused about is the first errand, to study the red bellied woodpecker. ![]()
